Milestones – Puma V1.06

In 2006 Puma really got back to the fight with Nike and Adidas. Puma presented the v1.06 which was the lightest boot Puma ever made. Some great players wore them such as Samuel Eto’o, Robert Pires, Alexander Hleb and Fredrik Ljungberg. 

Puma used a so called “Scholler ConTec”
upper material which made the boot light and gave close to bare foot feel. To increase the bare foot feel puma reshaped the front of the foot and used “Puma Lace Wrap System” to ensure a optimal fit.  

To reduce even more weight Puma used carbon fibre in the soleplate, which gave more flexibility and strength. Puma v1.06 had also a stud pattern that was different from the other brands, especially the studs in the heel was designed for speed.

Nike Mercurial Superfly V Collection

Took some time for myself to take pictures of my Nike Mercurial Superfly V collection. These are the Superfly V’s I currently own. 

They are all pretty rare except for the CR7 “Discovery” yellow/dark grey ones, as they are not a limited edition but instead a nice looking boot from CR7 Chapter-3!

These are probably the most unique of them all as they are custome painted to represent the original Mercurial 1.0 from 1998 World Cup! 

Then next, boot above, you all recognize! One of my big favourites Nike Mercurial Superfly V “EA-Sport”, limited edition and mine is numbere 733 out of 1500. Representing the video gaming from late 90′ with 16-bit all the way to present time with high resolution!

Last one is probably the rarest of these four boots, the Nike Mercurial Suoerfly V CR SE “Vitórias”. Limited edition (230 of 777) celebrating Cristiano Ronaldo winning his fourth FIFA Player of the Year trophy aka Ballon d’Or!

Nike Mercurial Superfly V “1998”

Honestly this project is one of the coolest thing this year! I had planned to do this custome makeover since early 2016. But I knew I had to wait for the right Superfly V boot to be released. 

So I decided to find a pair of Superfly V that basically had the right base colour, I chose the Nike “Elite Pack”!

As so often I trusted my good friend @maalinetti to help me with the paintjob. He never dissapoints me!

So my goal was to recreate the most famous boot in Nike Mercurial history, the Mercurial 1998 R9, by using the latest technology provided by Nike!

Nike Mercurial Superfly V CR7 Chapter 3: “Discovery”!

This chapter tells about how the talented and only 18 year old C.Ronaldo was spotted by the legendery coach of Mancester United, Sir Alex Ferguson.

The colours of the boot is made to reflect his time in Sporting Lisbon. On the lateral side of the boot you can see some similiar wave-lines going alongside of the boot, reflecting back to the Mercurial Vapor I that he wore that night back in the day. 

The numbers on the heel 06, 08 and 03 is for the date (6th of August 2003) when he was discovered by Manchester United in a friendly game still playing for Sporting Lisbon! He was voted man of the match!

Nike Mercurial Superfly V X “EA-Sport” Edition

Nike delivered again by releasing the limited edition Nike Mercurial Superfly V X “EA-Sport” edition. Nike is celebrating, together with EA-Sports, 22 years of best selling football game! It was in 1994 when the first FIFA game was released, and now we enjoy the fresh FIFA17 released on 27th September. Today they got over 3 billion users everyday.

The boots design reflects the developement in gaming technology. From the 16-Bit graphics of 1994 to moderna HD-definition! In my opinion perfectly designed theme.

A great addition is also the EA-Sport logo on the heel and a big thanks to Nike for individually numbering the boots! Also the Nike box is designed carefully with a shimmering tone with some 16-bit graphics as well. 

The boots are limited to 1500 pairs in the world and I were lucky enough to buy a pair numbered 733 of 1500. As always the boots sold out in minutes.

Nike Tiempo Legend V R10 Premium “Touch of Gold”

  
My latest addition is the Nike Tiempo Legend V R10 Premium also called “Touch of Gold”! Designed for the 2004 and 2005 Ballon d’Or winner Ronaldinho.

  
Made of the purest leather the Nike Tiempo Legend V R10 is an update to the Nike Tiempo Air Legend I back in 2005. Everyone remebers Ronaldinhos crossbar challenge on YouTube!

  
This boot was a limited released in 2015 and sold out in under an hour! Only 3000 pairs made and they are all individually numbered, which is always a bonus. My pair is numbered 2932 of 3000.
